YOUR FIRST ISLAND - PART 1

This lesson is VERY IMPORTANT, because you will find here, step by step, how to use Blender to create a BCG island.

1 - Inside the subfolder C:\Croquet_SDK_1.0_beta\Content create a subfolder: land0. Copy to it, from the BCGkit, the files:

2 - Create a sub-subfolder: Textures and copy inside: ground.jpg

3 - Click the BCG Blender icon at your desktop (the file ground.blend). Will open Blender having the default BCG Ground. Select: File | Save As.

4 - The Top View will be replaced by the folder where is the BCGkit. Click the button having arrows at left of the name of the file. Select c:\

TIP: Now you know how to select a folder and a file in Blender! It's a little different from Windows. You will do this many times...

8 - Change the names "ground" to "land0" in the Buttons View. Do some others Saves from time to time.

9 - Now the export. Select: File | Export | BCG/DMU Static Mesh.

11 - Changed the path (verify) click the button:"Export to land0.ase". Verify also if you have the new file in the folder.
