MINIDB AND ADMINISTRATOR

If you are a programmer who uses relational databases and SQL you will be a little confuse with the Director server embedded mini-database.

We have 2 main tables. They have the columns of the figure.

The funny thing is: we can create new columns (attributes) and the column will be created in BOTH tables!!

To facilitate your life we create an DB Administrator that is a simplification of a demo from Macromedia. You can download the .DIR file:

You can use it, changing the IP address to yours. The server needs to be runing. Create a new user:doe and a new attribute:avmus1pos - its value will be the position of the doe's avatar in the movie mus1. Write some value (xxx, by example) in the avmus1pos field of doe's register:
