If you are working with simple objects (like a cube, by example) you can use a more simple technique than the mapping that we saw in the previous lesson.
1 - Select and right-click the object. Select Convert to Editable Poly.
2 - In the Selection rollout click the Polygon icon/button.
3 - Open the Material Editor an create a material.
4 - Click in the polygon/face of the object to be texturized and use Assign material to Selection as usual.
If you are working with textures more complex (not only a color) like a text, select in the Modifier List: UVW Map. Open the structure and clicking Gizmo you can move the texture using the usual technique to move things.
